1959年10月2日 から 1964年6月19日にかけてアメリカで放送されたロッド・サーリングの『トワイライトゾーン』（全156話）が好きだ。
この番組はＳＦ，ミステリー、ファンタジーとなんでもありのドラマでありながら、サーリングの精神が核となってシリーズを貫いていた。
それが後に量産されたサーリングが関わっていない同名のリメイクシリーズとの大きな違いである。
映画を除く最初のリメイクは、1985年に製作されたシリーズだ。
5年にわたって放送された同シリーズ（First season[ 1985–86]、Second season [1986–87]、Third season [1988–89]）だったけれど、オリジナルを超える印象を与えたエピソードはなかった。
しかし、ドラマ自体の出来はともかくとしても番組の音楽はなかなかに聴き心地がいい。これらの音楽は後にサウンドトラックとしてCD化された。
